Is it happy? It's definitely new....
Hey - 2019 is the Year of The Pig! That sounds like fun!

On the personal side, I'm very pleased to see the back side of 2018 - it was a year of chaos and a lot of loss - but I'm optimistic that 2019 will be better...

How do you cope with grief and loss? For me, I have to channel it into creativity. Whether you paint, doodle, make music, write poetry, carve, scribble or ??? - it's important and soul healing to create. 

As you probably already know (since you are here!), my arty side is expressed through On Dragon Wings Studio. We are a small family art collective- mostly me and Emma, but we are slowly bringing Connor in as well. (You should see his oil paintings - SO beautiful!)

I have been the coordinator of an animal rescue called Project Jessie for over 20 years. It is a foster based rescue, so Emma and Connor grew up with an ever changing array of creatures in our house. 
Now that they are in their own homes, they are continuing to foster and care for creatures, and so most of our art is inspired by and features creatures that we have met, cared for, and loved.
